How do I begin working with April Force Pardoe Interiors?

Every design relationship begins with our online questionnaire followed by a get acquainted call. During this call we’ll discuss your needs, goals, ideas and project budget. We’ll talk about the results our services provide and how can we work together to create a home you love. If we decide to work together after this conversation we’ll set up a design consultation.

Prior to our design consultation you’ll receive our interior design “homework” which provides us information about your design preferences and desires. The design consult is a working meeting that allows us to get to know each other more and explore your home, as well as offer solutions to current design challenges. From there we’ll establish a scope of work for your project and the design services needed to complete your project.

How long does a typical project take to complete?

Projects vary, but using the full design of a medium-sized living room as an example, you can expect the design process to take about 6 – 8 weeks from the initial consultation meeting to the final design presentation. A full design may include a space plan, all furniture and accessory selections, window treatments and if applicable, custom woodwork designs. These items and designs are presented in person, over 2 – 3 meetings. The final design presentation includes all furniture selections, fabrics, wood samples and a beautiful color rendering, all within the established budget.   

How does furniture purchasing work?

If you hire our office to coordinate the purchase management of your design project, we’ll create a detailed proposal that outlines your selections and final costs. This is presented at the final design presentation. Once you approve the purchasing proposal, pay the purchasing fee and product costs, we’ll manage the purchases, delivery and installation of all of your selections.

What are your design fees?

We work on a flat fee for our design services (one price per project so there are no suprises!). Design fees are based on the scope of work involved in your project. This fee represents a reasonable assessment of the time and resources it will take to professionally complete your job. The scope of work and design fee are outlined in our detailed letter of agreement. Please view our services page for pricing details or contact us to discuss your projects and our flat design fees.

What geographic area do you serve?

April Force Pardoe Interiors is located in Howard County, MD and our service area covers clients in the Baltimore Metropolitan area, including, but not limited to, Annapolis, Catonsville, Columbia, Ellicott City, Highland, Glenelg, Fulton and Severna Park. We may consider clients outside of the Baltimore metro region, but travel fees apply for distances exceeding 30 miles one way.
