Furniture trend: Making bold statements with hardware

Furniture hardware is making a statement. No longer just a means to open a drawer or door, hardware on furniture is becoming more like jewelry and is going large and bold. Like fashion, which has been showing more architectural lines and metal details, furniture is following. Form + Function = very pretty!

Here are a few items with great hardware that I liked at High Point Furniture Market this fall.

I dare say that decorative, bold hardware on your dresser makes grabbing a pair of socks for your morning rug a bit more interesting. Like with most trends, they are to be used sparingly as they work for your home and design aesthetic. Share your favorite hardware in the comments — I’d love to hear what you think.
