April Force Pardoe is an award-winning interior designer in the Baltimore-Washington D.C. area.
April’s path to interior design started in her childhood bedroom and culminated with ownership of an interior design studio in Maryland. Along the way, she earned a master of arts in Publication Design and worked in both graphic design and event planning positions. These diverse opportunities took her design skills from paper to spaces and led to the opening of her interior design studio in 2008.
April Force Pardoe Interiors offers full-service interior design, from concept to completion, including space planning, furniture selection, kitchen and bath design, material and paint color selections, purchase management and one-day installation of full rooms and homes. The company is affiliated with some of the area’s most prestigious home improvement professionals and artists who work collaboratively to enhance every client project.
April understands that her clients want stylish interiors but are too busy or overwhelmed to take it on themselves. They recognize and appreciate the knowledge and experience she brings to their design challenges. She takes care of

When not designing and running her company, April is a wife and mother to two girls and happily shares her office with her chocolate lab, Roxy.
April earned the Associate Kitchen and Bath Designer (AKBD) certification from the National Kitchen and Bath Association, the nation’s premier association for design professionals. One of her master bathroom projects won the 2017 Chrysalis Award for Remodeling Excellence for best bathroom remodel for the North region.
April’s design work has appeared in The Washington Post, Baltimore magazine, Howard magazine and Chesapeake Home & Living magazine. She regularly writes about interior decorating in her Her Decor column in Her Mind magazine. She has her own blog, The Journey, where she has been writing about interior design for over nine years. April has been a guest on The Chaise Lounge podcast, where she discusses the many aspects of designing and running an interior design business.
Meet Heather Brown. She creates the magic behind the scenes and keeps the design studio running.
Heather helps with purchase management, project installations, vendor relations and our social media. Heather oversees initial client communication to ensure projects are carefully coordinated and helps keep the office working like a well-oiled machine.
Heather began her career in event planning at a historic Washington, DC hotel where she enjoyed both the organizing and design elements of events. When she’s not helping April bring clients’ design visions to life, she enjoys spending time with her husband, son and her dog, Boh.
