MEET HEATHER, design assistant
Hi. I’m Heather.
If I was asked, “Heather, what was your favorite subject in school?” without hesitation I would reply, “art!” Growing up I loved exploring all mediums from painting to paper mâché to ceramics and beyond. In high school I further refined my interest to the field of graphic design when I served as Graphics Editor of the school newspaper. Business was a subject that grabbed my attention, too. A marketing class planted a seed, which would later inspire my college major.
I jumpstarted my career in event planning at a historic Washington, D.C. hotel. The design elements of an event were undeniably my favorite aspect of the overall planning process; creating color palettes, drafting space plans and dabbling with decor.
I manage the behind-the-scenes tasks of running the design studio. I put my organizing skills to use overseeing initial client outreach, purchase management, coordinating project installations, maintaining the office and managing our marketing and social media. I keep our projects carefully coordinated and the office working like a well-oiled machine. Call me the “Jill of all trades” for April Force Pardoe Interiors!
When I’m not helping April bring your design visions to life, my husband, son and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Boh, keep me on my toes. I enjoy a good cup of coffee in an oversized mug, scouring vintage home goods shops and checking local restaurants off my bucket list.
