Selecting art for your kitchen

Most people think of appliances, counter tops, flooring and cabinets when they think of designing their kitchen. Once all of those items are selected and in place, it’s nice to complete the most-used room in your home with a personal touch — art!

Placing art in your functional spaces, such as your kitchen and bath, really add a special touch to those rooms.

A few of my favorite pieces for kitchen art include framed kids’ artwork and large, over-sized food prints. Word art is also a nice addition to a kitchen. Of course art is very personal and you should always surround yourself with pieces you love. I just encourage you to consider art in your kitchen. Something that makes you smile would be ideal!

Clients often comment that adding art to their kitchen really brings their room to life. For a room that is full of hard surfaces and a lot of work, why not add art to make you smile?

Happy decorating!
