Today I’m spotlighting a local Ellicott City art gallery, Gallery 44. Marian Berman is the owner and if you visit her gallery you will see a lot, learn a lot and want to come back again and again.
[Side note: This giraffe painting (along with one of a cow, also by Ransley) is one of my favorite pieces. Marian doesn't know it, but she's "holding" it for me until I can, A. afford it and/or B. convince my husband that we need a large, colorful giraffe on our wall!]
This art gallery is much more than a welcoming gallery. First of all, you can walk in knowing nothing about art and feel very comfortable asking questions. Marian loves to gush over the artists she’s featuring. They offer special events to meet the artists, host design talks and contribute to Success in Style, a local non profit. If you already have an art piece you love, but it needs framing, Gallery 44 can do that too!
So as the weather chills and you are getting a bit stir crazy inside, take a trip to Gallery 44. Go to shop, learn, see pretty things or dream. And while you’re there, say “hi” to my giraffe!
Happy decorating.
